PROTECT - Business Continuity Management

Business Strategy
The PROTECT Business Continuity Managed Service is a three year program designed to streamline the Business Continuity Plan development process by using EverGreen’s business continuity experts, effective data collection formats, and time-proven recovery planning procedures and proprietary software. EverGreen will manage, administer, and develop the BCP process while the client’s resources provide the core data. This minimizes the client’s resource involvement and provides significant value in terms of concise, informative and executable deliverables. All BCP documentation is packaged and managed using EverGreen’s proprietary Business Continuity Management (BCM) software and hosted in EverGreen’s secure data centers with 7*24* 365 guaranteed accessibility. The PROTECT service improves operational resiliency, mitigates knowledge loss from staff turnover, reduces cost, and protects critical information.
Methodology
Our methodology is based on our operational resiliency model which has evolved over the last twelve years from providing over 300 clients with business continuity planning services. The scope of developing a BCP can often be broad and if not focused, can be very costly. So EverGreen has structured the PROTECT service to include the essential components of a BCP, and if the client chooses, they can expand their BCP by selecting from EverGreen Value-Add Options. In all cases, our consultants use either EverGreen’s Mitigator or EverSafe software to streamline the BCP development and management process.
Our methodology is based on a vulnerability analysis of the current operational environment by analyzing the resiliency of critical assets such as data storage, networking, servers, and 12 other critical infrastructure elements. Once we baseline the current environment, we then analyze the recovery time objectives - RTO and recovery point objectives – RPO of each critical business function. This information is then compared to the organization’s current IT operational resiliency to determine which areas need improvement. This analysis is then used in conjunction with financial and operational risk data in a Client Strategy Workshop to determine the best business continuity strategies for each critical business function and their supporting IT infrastructure.
After the strategy is established, BCP Team Leaders are assigned and EverGreen starts the data collection process by sending data collection templates to each BCP Team Leader. All data input is administered by EverGreen experts who collect the predefined web-surveys and enter the survey results into our software.
The client’s Business Continuity Coordinator reviews and approves each phase of the BCP process.
Once the BCP has been developed and approved, several Value-Add Options are available to leverage the data which is already in the Mitigator database. These include; Emergency Notification, On-Call Disaster Support, Table-top Exercises, Pandemic Planning, Recovery Test Exercises, Process Dependency Mapping and a full suite of BIA and Operational Risk Analysis.
