DR Strategies Overview
The Diagram below illustrates a typical organization that has different types of users accessing its managed IT resources. The planning is integrated with implementation of dedicated DR cloud resources in the EverGreen Hosting facilities. The EverGreen PROTECT Services offers a full range of business continuity management service solutions to assist with planning, implementation, testing and emergency response.
The Private Cloud DR Hosting Option provides dedicated resources which can be use to support lower level production applications until either a disaster occurs or disaster testing needs to be performed. Prior to the event, data and applications have to be replicated and the conversion process performed. The speed of cutting over from production to the disaster environment is a function of software tools used and included as an Option in the EverGreen Total BC/DR Solutions. EverGreen has established a dedicated virtual DR Cloud environment within the Rackspace data centers where EverGreen offers DR Cloud Subscriptions based on usage criteria.
Based on the PROTECT Assessment and an additional EverGreen Capacity Planning exercise, EverGreen will provide DR Hosting for those applications and data storage capacities that are compatible with the Public Cloud DR Hosting Option.
