The EverGreen management team is made up of successful founders and managers of commercial companies, experienced industry domain experts and a national network of professionals knowledgeable in business and operational continuity planning.
Robert Burns, Chairman and CEO
Bob Burns is the co-founder of EverGreen Data Continuity and has more than 30 years experience developing and implementing IT, data storage and Business Continuity solutions. Before "Early Retirement" from AT&T Bell Labs, Bob was Technical Manager responsible for the Network and Client-Server Computing Data Center in N. Andover, MA. At AT&T he also has served as an Executive Quality Advisor/Baldrige Auditor, and helped AT&T win the National Baldrige Quality Award. Bob is the former Founder, President and CEO of NetVault Inc., responsible for the design and deployment of data storage systems worldwide. Prior to NetVault, he was Vice President of CommVault Systems, Inc. in charge of the Tape Storage Division. As Co-founder, and CEO of EverGreen Data Continuity, Bob has lead the company by redefining Business Continuity to include the management of daily operational and data protection. A Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan is simply an extension of this philosophy so that any event is mitigated by applying business impact, technology risk, and operational impact assessments, mitigation strategies, and detailed recovery procedures. Bob has provided the leadership to incorporate this methodology into EverGreen’s industry leading Mitigator software. Bob has a BS and MS in Information Systems from U Mass.
Steve Burns, President
Steve is the co-founder of EverGreen. Steve heads all day-to-day activities at EverGreen, and is responsible for revenue and profit growth. He is responsible for leading all sales and marketing efforts at EverGreen, and has led the effort in establishing the Compaq, and Computer Associates strategic partnerships. Steve is a recognized industry expert, and has been asked to speak at over 50 industry events. During 9/11, Steve helped spearhead the implementation of Compaq’s Crisis Command Center in NYC and relocated there for over 3 months, to help customers relocate operations of critical business functions. Steve has been quoted in over 100 magazines and can be heard as a quest on numerous radio programs including National Public Radio (NPR) and the nationally syndicated “PC Talk”. He is the former Director of Operations for NetVault, Inc., where he was responsible for all business operations in North America and Canada. Steve also had responsibility for all sales and technical account management for NetVault, Inc, previously having served as their Business Manager. Steve has a BA in Accounting from Merrimack College.
Pat Barton, Chief Technology Advisor
Pat is currently a Principal and Chief Technology Officer for Maji Systems, Inc., working primarily in the integration of data center architectures for clients across industries and business requirements. He has over 20 years of computer industry experience on a variety of platforms, including Sun, IBM mainframe, Digital, and HP and Wintel. He has extensive experience designing continuous availability architectures on storage and systems. He brings an extensive background of business and technical experience to our clients and our organization. Mr. Barton was educated at MIT and Northeastern University.
