Mitigator Architecture
Smart Client Architecture – EverGreen's Mitigator software uses Microsoft's preferred "Smart Client" Architecture to deliver its extensive business continuity functions without limiting user accessibility. All Features and Benefits described on this site are integrated into a common Microsoft SQL database and share information between functions. The Smart Client configuration consists of two major modules: a workstation Administrator Module and a web services Continuity Manager Module.
Administrator Module – is used by business continuity managers who manage the overall business continuity program for their organizations. The role of the Administrator is to establish the organizational structure, authorize security access, define BC Plan standards, strategies and practices, manage data collection surveys, perform BIA and Operational Risk Analysis and manage the overall completeness of the BC planning process. The Smart Client approach allows for extensive computational analysis and other processor intensive activities to be performed on the Administrator's workstation.
Continuity Manager Module – provides secure web access to an unlimited number of authorized business continuity team leaders, team members and other authorized personnel. Access is granted based on role authorization levels established by Administrators and Team Leaders. All BC planning activities are performed in the CM Module where team members are assigned and the details supporting each team plan are documented, including recovery tasks, dependencies and asset recovery strategies. More than 100 tables and reports can be generated supporting each Team Plan which can be rolled up to present composite organizational views and a consolidated enterprise business continuity plan.
Smart Client Value – is realized in higher performance, more functionality, and unlimited access before, during, and after a crisis situation. Competitive products offer significantly less capability and require customers to buy concurrent user licenses. This is because they are concerned about system performance and are charging a higher price than is warranted with today's web technologies.
The Mitigator Architecture provides unlimited secure web-access for all authorized BCP Team Leaders and their team members to build, and use Mitigator business continuity plans. Mitigator Administrator(s) use a local Smart Client Administrator workstation to manage and set-up the BCP framework and approval process for the organization.
